Open a browser and navigate to Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test
There are adds on this page so only press what's in this aricle.
On the screen press the big Go button
The test will run and look similar to this while running
It shows (highlighted in orange):
- Ping test
- Download test
- Upload test
- Results of each
- Your ISP
When done it will show results similar to this
The results are in Megabits (Mbps). The service in this test is 500Mpbs and the results show 211.53 Mbps. This test shows that only 1/2 of the available bandwidth was used.
This is an average service. If your numbers aren't similar you need to research the problem and try and resolve it.
